Appointment of Sishu Sevika 2025 :
The state government recently announced to appoint Sishu Sevika in Sishu Vatikas (Child Care Center) in about 45000 government primary school across the state.The position are for pre-primary centre (Sishu Vatikas) serving 5-6-years old.
Brief Information :- The Sishu Sevika will assist the children in the Sishu Vatikas and help to reduce the non-teaching work load of teachers, allowing them focus on Education and improve the quality of education for children in pre-primary classe.
As per the mandate of the National Education Policy, 2020 and in the interest of strengthening Foundational Learning and Early Childhood Education (ECE) the State Government for the first time has opened “Sishu Vatikas" in all Government Primary Schools where children in the age group of years 5-6 are admitted for Pre-School Education from the academic year 2025-26 onwards.
After careful consideration, in order to provide a better support system to the Primary Grade teachers and in the interest of achieving better learning outcomes for the Pre-School Education of young learners.

The financial implication for hiring of Shishu Sevikas (with remuneration at par with Cook-cum-Helpers) has been approved by the Department of School Education and Literacy, Government of India, to be met from the annual budget of Samagra Sikshya.
